RxSpan MD review
One of the few desks in this ranking that names its pharmacies, its prescribers and their NPI numbers, and publishes every rung of both ladders — while its own API carries cheaper GLP-1 prices that no page will sell you.
- Semaglutide
- $249/mo month-to-month, compounded — the funnel pre-selects a 3-month prepay at $657 up front, and its cheapest rung is $2,327 for a year in one charge
- Tirzepatide
- $329/mo month-to-month, compounded — 3 months bills $927 up front, 12 months $3,228
- Coverage
- All 50 states claimed — asynchronous review is not available in all of them
- Brand-name
- Yes
The scorecard
RxSpan MD scored on our six Brief Score factors. See the methodology.
What we like
- Names FOUR dispensing pharmacies with phone numbers — Belmar, Strive, Epiq Scripts and Casa Pharma Rx — where most of this ranking names none
- Names the prescribing group and two prescribers with their NPI numbers, and both verify as active in the federal registry: Lion MD, with Dr. Ana Lisa Carr (NPI 1689841744, family medicine, 15 state licenses) and Dr. Kelly Tenbrink (NPI 1346482684, emergency medicine, Florida and Tennessee)
- The whole term ladder renders publicly before intake, with the up-front total shown the moment you select a rung, so the cost of committing is visible rather than inferred
- A real brand lane that is itemised and purchasable cash-pay — Ozempic $1,299, Wegovy $1,349, Zepbound $1,069 — alongside the compounded lines, so a reader who wants the FDA-approved product does not have to change desks
- Oral capsules on both molecules at $249 and $349 a month, for readers who will not inject, on the same published ladder as the injections
- The quoted price includes the consult, the medication, the supplies, shipping and support, and there is no monthly membership fee on top
- Clean against FDA's warning-letter index under the brand, the domain and the platform behind it, screened 8 August 2026 with a passing positive control
The caveats
- The cheapest GLP-1 figures RxSpan publishes anywhere buy nothing: its own product API marks Semaglutide ODT at $179, Tirzepatide ODT at $199 and GLP Squared Injection at $179 as visible, and none of the three appears on any storefront page — as with the hidden $179/$199 microdose SKUs behind them
- The plan selector arrives with the three-month prepay already chosen rather than Monthly, and badges the three-, six- and twelve-month tiers alike as "Max Saving", so the default action is a $657 charge rather than a $249 one
- The FAQ promises "No long-term commitments" on a page whose cheapest advertised semaglutide rate is only reachable by paying $2,327 for twelve months in one charge
- Headline prices are labeled "(For the first month)", so the figure a reader lands on is framed as an entry rate even where the standing month-to-month rate is the same number
- It is not an independent operation: RxSpan runs on the CareValidate white-label platform and names the same two prescribers and the same four pharmacies as Synergy Rx and Bodybuilding Health+, both already in this ranking — three consumer brands over one back office, not three separate opinions
- Brand bundles state that if medication is not prescribed you are charged a $50 medical review fee, so a declined reader still pays something
- RxSpan itself carries no FDA warning letter, but one of the four pharmacies it names does: Belmar received one issued March 2023, addressed to Belmar Pharma Solutions, Drug Depot, LLC., dba APS Pharmacy, and FDA closed it out in October 2023. Disclosed because the pharmacy is named — a closed-out letter on a dispensing partner is a fact to weigh, not a disqualification.
- Product data disagrees with itself in places: a Zepbound bundle is priced $500 against a $1,069 product page, and a Mounjaro entry carries "SOLD OUT" text while its own sold-out flag reads false
- Compounded semaglutide and tirzepatide are not FDA-approved products, and asynchronous review is not available in every state it claims to serve
The brief
Best for: Readers who want to check who is prescribing and who is compounding before they buy, and who will change the pre-selected plan back to Monthly unless they actually mean to pay a year up front. One of the few desks in this ranking that names its pharmacies, its prescribers and their NPI numbers, and publishes every rung of both ladders — while its own API carries cheaper GLP-1 prices that no page will sell you.
