The fine print
Privacy policy
Last updated: July 2026
Dose Brief runs lean. We keep the reader side of this site as light as a briefing should be. The rules for using the site itself are separate, and live in the terms of use; the commercial relationships behind our outbound links are itemised in the disclosure.
What we measure
We use Google Analytics 4 to see how the brief gets read — which pages land, roughly where readers are, and what device they are on. Location is approximate, drawn from IP, and the IP itself is not stored.
Consent comes first
We run Google Consent Mode v2. Analytics and advertising storage start denied. Until you accept the cookie banner, no analytics cookies are set and no measurement runs. Decline, and the denied state simply stays.
Cookies and local storage
Your choice is saved in your browser under the cookie-consent key. Accepting also allows the analytics cookies Google needs to count a visit. We do not use cookies to build ad profiles.
How we use it
The numbers tell us which briefs are worth writing and where the site is confusing. That is the whole job. We do not use them to identify you.
We do not sell
We do not sell or rent your personal information, and we never have. There is no data broker on the other end of this.
Google as a third party
Analytics data is processed by Google under its own terms and privacy policy. When you consent, that data goes to Google as the measurement provider. Their handling of it is governed by their policies, not ours.
Your choices
You can withdraw consent, ask what has been collected, or ask us to delete it. To reset the banner and be asked again, clear this site's data — or remove the cookie-consent entry — and reload. Depending on where you live, you may have added rights to access, delete, or opt out; email us and we will honor them.
Children
This site is for adults. It is not directed to anyone under 18, and it is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from them. If a child's data reached us, write in and we will remove it.
How long we keep it
Analytics data is retained by Google for a limited window under our GA4 settings, then it ages out automatically. We hold no separate reader database of our own.
Security
The site is served over encrypted connections, and we keep our collection surface small on purpose — the less we gather, the less there is to protect. No method is perfectly secure, and we cannot promise otherwise.
Changes
When this policy changes, we update the date at the top. Using the site after an update means the current version applies.
