Low monthly GLP-1 prices can require a year upfront

A monthly price does not always mean monthly payments. In the August 28, 2026 comparison of 17 providers with commercial relationships to Dose Brief, 11 listed prices needed correction, additional conditions or an update.

The most common catch in that August comparison was a headline monthly figure requiring a long commitment. CoreAge Rx, which we rank first, advertises $99 a month for compounded semaglutide and $149 for tirzepatide — both available only on a 12-month plan paid in full, which is $1,188 and $1,788 charged at once. No month-to-month rate is published anywhere on its site. ShedRx's $199 and $299 are the one-month rung of a three-rung ladder, and every ShedRx plan carries a two-month minimum. At that August check, yourEra showed a starting figure rather than a full public plan breakdown; readers should use its current review for later pricing changes.

The August comparison also identified lower prices than previously listed. Strut Health's injectable tirzepatide is $149 a month, not the $199 we had recorded, and its injectable semaglutide is $129. Gala Health does publish a compounded semaglutide price after all; it sits inside the same yearly subscription as its tirzepatide.

State eligibility also matters: the August correction changed Strut Health’s excluded state from Alaska to Arkansas, based on its FAQ.

Every provider page now carries the date its prices were last read from that company's site, so you can see how fresh the figure is before you act on it. Where a rate depends on a plan length, a prepayment, or an intake, the page says so next to the number.
